David and I walked around The Strip. Our first destination was to get breakfast. We settled for the McDonald's by the Venitian Hotel. That McDonald's is the busiest McDonald's on the West Coast. After that we went looking for a Walgreen's to buy eye drops and a nail file, while waiting to check in to our new room. On the way we walked to a Tickets for Less stand and bought tickets for a Hoover Dam tour on Monday. After, we walked to Planet Hollywood and went shopping at the Miracle Mile Mall. There we picked up some souvenirs for ourselves and Breelyn.
We arrived back at the hotel at noonish and cleaned up our room and made sure that we had everything. Changing rooms was sooo well worth it. Our new room was on the 13th floor and we were by the elevators in room 13100. It was soo clean and bigger. I was happy with our decision. After getting there, we took a nap and relaxed. We were both tired from barely sleeping the night before in fear that someone might bang down our door.
After waking up, we decided that it was still early enough for lunch specials at certain restaurants. We walked down to PF Changs and enjoyed their lunch special, which was still huge.
Sunday was Cesar's Palace evening and we walked around the Forum Shops and did a bit of gambling. The Cesar's Palace was beautiful. The owners invested a lot of money on the hotel.
After Ceaser's Palace we went to Freemont St. We figured out the buses (aka THE DUCE). The bus system made things so much better. Our backs were killing us from all the walking and we were tired.
Freemont St. was interesting. I was kinda disappointed to learn that the WELCOME TO VEGAS sign isn't that big and the GIANT COWBOY wasn't that big either. We did some shopping and some gambling down there. At the top of the hour (10pm) we watched the light show. It was pretty impressive. After that, we headed back to our hotel room.

Day 1 in Vegas
Vegas is HUGE! It was sooo overwhelming leaving the airport in the shuttle bus. I felt so tiny. We had tons issues checking in. The "agent" kept telling us to come back to get our room key. While we waited for our room key we gambled....as of now we are down $.50. We also ate at the buffet in the restaurant and walked around the pool area. It took 4 hours to get our keys and then.....our room was horrible. The carpet was warping and you could see the floor boards by the bathroom door. The bathroom was disgusting. The fixtures in the bathtub were loose and the toilet was like a toilet at cheap fast food restaurant. We decided to just live with it for the night because we wanted to get ready for dinner and who knew how long it would take to get a new room.
Dinner....and a show.
Well, my husband is amazing! While we were waiting for our luggage at the airport, David handed me some papers. I looked at them and didn't realize what he was handing me till a few minutes later due to being scared of loosing our luggage. He got me Criss Angel tickets for his show BELIEVE! I was in shock! David kept telling me and other people that he didn't know if he wanted to go and just acted like he wasn't into it. Me, on the other hand, have been telling EVERYONE how much I wanted to see that show. Well, two weeks ago, he bought us tickets!
The show was at 7pm and we wanted to go to dinner at the restaurant in the Stratosphere. The show and the restaurant are at two different ends of the strip. David called and made reservations for 4:45pm and we just made it. We took a taxi and the driver took every back road and our taxi ride was $18.
TOP OF THE WORLD
David made us Anniversary reservations for a window seat. Talk about amazing. It was beautiful. We could see everything and watched the sun start to set on the city that never sleeps. We weren't expecting the menu to be so expensive...we knew that it would be pricey, but we joked that Bree's collage fund was just spent. We dined on filet mingon, garlic mashed potatoes, and steamed asparagus. YUMMY! We also both had ONE mix drink (one of the best old fashions that I have ever had). Our bill came to (with tip) $170.26. I have the receipt to prove it. It was definitely wonderful, but I would never pay that for another dinner...maybe our 25th Anniversary. The waiter then told us what to tell the taxi driver....we spent about the same on that trip and it was double the distance.
Criss Angel
The show started at 7pm. David did a wonderful job with the tickets. We were in the 15th row with aisle seats. WONDERFUL!!!!!! Criss Angel ran around the audience and the other performers we running up in down the aisles. Being in section 101 meant that if I would have stuck my arm out more, Criss may have tripped and sat on my lap. :). The show was amazing. David even said that he didn't expect that type of show. We were both speechless after it. It was AMAZING! He did a lot of his BIG tricks that were performed on Season 1 and Season 2 of his show. He also did a couple audience participation tricks. There was one trick with birds and we both are still talking about if the birds were real or not. Tons of birds flew over our heads and something dropped on our heads, but there were tons of 3D screens, so we both don't know what actually happened.
After the show David and I walked the Strip. I took some really cool pictures. We were headed to the Vanetian for a Gondola ride. It was just something romantic to end the night. It was only a 15 minute ride, but it was a great end to a perfect evening. David was soo cute because we were instructed to kiss under the bridge and the driver turned away and David got shy. Such a silly boy!
We got back to our room at around 11ish. I don't know if we were just sooo over tired or what but we were both not loving the room. I even cried. We finally fell asleep. When we woke up around 7am, David called the front desk to change rooms. We are now in a room that I feel safer and I am not worried about bugs attacking me in the night. THANK GOD!
More later!

Flying
This blog is to help David and myself remember are amazing trip to Vegas on our One Year Wedding Anniversary. Also, to share our experiences with our daughter, family and friends. Hope you enjoy!
I made it! I did not have a nervous breakdown, and they did not have to kick me off the plane during take-off. I did hold David's hand and pray that we would not crash into anyone or anything. I really didn't hold his hand...I squeezed his hand. We really didn't think that we would take off due to some sort of issue with the jet bridge wasn't moving. We had to sit for awhile... The flight is longer then we thought. We thought it would be 3 hours, but it is 4.
It is sooo nice to have Internet on the plane. It makes the time go by so much faster.
I told David that I wish that we had gotten Breelyn a laptop so that we could communicate with her. I miss her!
We are flying over Colorado right now. The mountains are beautiful. It is hard to imagine that their wouldn't be a God while flying over the gorgeous landscapes.
Well, have to go for now!
